Steve graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1999, where he was the recipient of the Kimberley Dawn Gusto Award for Children and the Law, The J.A. Johnson award for Advanced Family Law, and was a finalist in the Solomon Greenberg Advocacy Competition. He was called to the bar in 2000.

Steve practices primarily in the areas of Family, Labour, and Criminal Law litigation. He is also a regular Learning Group Facilitator for the Law Society, helping articling students achieve their call to the bar.

Steve and his wife Erin, and cats, Peanut and Ricky enjoy their life in the country, where Steve gets to play on his John Deere every weekend.
